Nikon announced two new entry-level cameras, the CoolPix L20 and the CoolPix L19. Both compact cameras have the EXPEED image processor. The L20 has a 10 Megapixel sensor and a 3-inch LCD screen while the L19 features 8 Megapixel sensor and 2.7-inch screen. They both got a 3.6x Zoom-NIKKOR lens.Nikon’s L20 and L19 feature ISO 64-1600, Scene Auto Selector, Motion Detection, Best Shot Selector, Smart Portrait System, Face-priority AF, Smile Mode, In-Camera Red-Eye Fix, D-Lighting, Food Mode and 5cm macro.

Comes with 20MB internal memory, L20 and L19 has a SD/SDHC card slot. They are powered by AA batteries. Nikon L20 and L19 are available in four colors and are priced at $129 and $109 respectively.

Nikon today released firmware version 2.01 for their D3 DSLR camera. The new firmware update fixes Geo info display for the GP-1, improved autofocus-response, enhanced AF button function, modified photo info displayed in full-frame playback, issue with black dots in images has been resolved, problem with Speedlight SB-800 has been resolved, and an under exposure issue with images captured with some lenses.You can download the new firmware update here.

Nikon has officially put an end to all the rumors floating about by announcing the D3X full-frame DSLR. This is a rather special camera and definitely not one of your run of the mill ones. Hold your breath as I tell you that it is an impressive 24.5-megapixels affair; 6048 x 4032 is the resolution it’s capable of, so just imagine looking at the world through pictures from this camera. One thing that stands out about this baby is its ability of capturing five frames per second in FX and seven per second in DX. The cost of Nikon’s D3X DSLR is $8000.

Nikon introduced a new AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR lens, a welcome addition to an existing Nikon DX-format D-SLR system and the ideal counterpart to the D90 Digital SLR camera also announced today. This flexible new DX lens offers photographers remarkable versatility, a broad focal range and the benefit of Silent Wave Motor (SWM) and Vibration Reduction (VR) Image Stabilization technology.

About specifications, 12.3 Mpix DSLR features CMOS sensor with the exclusive EXPEED image processing system that shoots about 4.5 frames per second, as well as a 3-Inch LCD Monitor with VGA resolution, 11 Auto Focus point, an ISO range between 100 to 6400, the LiveView, the Scene recognition system, face detection, Active D-Lighting, compatible SD/SDHC.
The HD Video mode which will allow you to record movie in 720p at 24fps with a 16:9 aspect ratio. It’s announced a price of 680€ (Body Only) or 880€ with the new 18-105mm f3.5/5.6 VR lens. You can also purchase this lens for 330€.
