Panasonic has decided to release its world’s smallest DSLR, LUMIX DMC-G1, in the United States market. For your info, the LUMIX G1 adopts the Micro Four Thirds system that eliminates the internal mirror structure that defines digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) cameras and reduces the size and weight. The LUMIX G1 DSLR Camera will be released in three different colors including black, red and blue for $800 each

Panasonic adds new colors for its SDR-S7 ultra-portable camcorder. It is currently available in four colors including the red, blue, black and silver. Weighing only 182grams, the video camera is able to record 16:9 or 4:3 video at VGA (640 x 480) resolution in MPEG-2 format. Users can store their video files on SD cards that supports up to 16GB of storage capacity. The SDR-S7 also sports a 2.7-inch widescreen display, 10x optical zoom, stereo microphone, 0.6 seconds Quick Start, and USB 2.0 for fast file transferring.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1 is actually the first Micro Four Thirds camera from Panasonic. For your info, the Four Third cameras allows manufacturers to develop inter operable exchangeable lenses. The camera offers a 12.1 effective CMOS sensor, a 3 inch LCD display and face detection technology. The DMC-G1 is also claimed to be the smallest and lightest Four Third camera in the world. This camera will be available in November 2008 together with a Lumix G Vario 14-45mm/F3.5- 5.6 ASPH/MEGA O.I.S lens.

Panasonic has recently introduced the Lumix DMC-FX180, sequel to the FX100. FX180 features a 1/1.72-inch CCD with ultra-high, 14.7-megapixel resolution. The clean, subtle front view makes this point-and-shoot camera appear modestly low profiled, despite its wire range of features. FX180 also introduces Venus Engine IV that helps render exquisitely beautiful images even in burst mode or when shooting in low lighting. For advanced users, the point-and-shoot has a manual mode which allows overriding of the exposure settings. It is also equipped with a 2.7 inch LCD and has a high ISO of 1600, and available in Silver, Black and Brown. Currently price and availability are still TBD.

Panasonic released a 14.7M compact digital camera

Panasonic will release its 14.7M compact digital camera ‘DMC-FX150′ in Japan market, which is expected to be available in the end of August.

Equipped with a 3.6X optical zoom LEICA lens and a 2.7-inch 230,000 colors LCD screen, the DMC-FX150 supports up to ISO 1600 and HD video recording at 30 fps.

Measuring 96.7*24.8*54mm at 179g, it comes in three different colors including silver, gold and black.
